Things to Consider
- Please remember it is a camp. If your worried how "campy or rustic" it is, then it might not be for you. But if you want relaxing and someplace you don't have to worry or fuss about, then it might be just what you are looking for.
- It is not set up like a typical rental. It has been in the family for a long time. Therefore it is filled with non valuable personal items and food items in kitchen and refrigerator. You are welcome to use the cabin like you are family and the food items such as spices, flour, sugar, and condiments.
- All the floats, kayaks, canoes, paddles and adult life vests are available for you to use. A quiet morning or evening kayak paddle is something you must do! Please supply your own children's life vests. There is a catamaran on the property. We ask that you do not use it or allow your children to play on it.
- You must bring your own beach towels. Limited bath towels and bedding will be for your use but there is no washer or dryer except a laudramat in Bristol (8 miles). I will do laundry upon your departure. If you use a lot of towels and pillows, you should bring your own.
- This is a private family cabin and is set up to use as if you were a family member. There is no housekeeping. We expect you to be considerate of our neighbors and return the house in the condition you found it. There is no cleaning fee but there is a security deposit fully refundable if it is left clean and without damage. A reasonable amount of laundry may be left in bathroom.
- The hot water shower is only located outside and there is no shower inside. There is a claw foot bath tub but we request very limited use.
- The beach area varies over the summer according to weather and lake level. Traditionally it is least amount of beach in early summer but this will vary according to weather factors.
- PERSONAL BOATS and OFF ROAD VEHICLES, ATVs, SNOW MOBILES and MOTORCYCLES are ONLY allowed with prior approval and a signed addendum listing such boats or vehicles. This is for the purpose of explaining Newfound Lake Association rules, rights of way, trailer storage, snow covered obstacles and landscaping, property lines and driveways of neighbors and the beach. DO NOT bring without prior approval and listed on an addedum to the contract. All boats must be washed and plant free. Newfound is milfoil free so far. More info: www.newfoundlake.org
- Pets that are friendly and well behaved are welcome with prior approval. Some breeds are not accepted for insurance purposes. A pet addedum must be signed and a pet fee per pet is charged.
- A written contract will be created with all the terms we agree on and it must be signed and returned.
- NO FIREWORKS ANYWHERE OR ANYTIME
